Braldu River
The Braldu River is Located in Shigar District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It is a prominent glacial river in the Karakoram region.
The river originates from the Baltoro Glacier at an elevation of approximately 3,620 meters (11,880 feet). Its length is approximately 78 kilometers (48 miles). Flowing westward, the river traverses the Braldu Valley, passing through settlements such as Askole, Korphe, and Testay. It merges with the Basha Basna River near Tingstun to form the Shigar River, which subsequently joins the Indus River near Skardu.
