Broghil Valley National Park

Broghil Valley National Park is located in Broghil Valley of Upper Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It was formally recognized on 25 August 2010. The park covers approximately 134,744 hectares. It is located in the far north of Pakistan and very close to the Pak-Afghan border.  Beyond which the Wakhan Corridor begins.

The whole region consists of high mountains that freeze with snow in winter. The human population is very small here. Pakistan’s second highest, Karambar Lake is located in this area which is a great place for camping.

Here you will often see yaks and birds. The area is also home to birds from the Pamir Mountains and Siberia.
