Constitution Monument

The Constitution Monument, also known as Yadgar-e-Dastur, is a significant landmark located in front of the Parliament Lodges, facing Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad, Pakistan. This monument was constructed to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of the 1973 Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The monument is situated 

The Constitution Monument is designed to serve as a symbol of Pakistan’s commitment to democracy and its adherence to the principles enshrined in the Constitution. It is expected to become a source of inspiration for generations to come. The monument embodies the sanctity of the 1973 Constitution with its towering plaques bearing the Preamble and fundamental rights.

The Advisory Committee unanimously constructed a Constitution Memorial to oversee preparations for the Golden Jubilee of the 1973 Constitution. The foundation stone of the memorial was laid on 10 April 2023 and the memorial was inaugurated on 29 February 2024 by Speaker of the National Assembly Raja Pervez Ashraf.
