Ilyasi Masjid
Ilyasi Masjid is located in Abbottabad District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. This mosque is located in the village Nawan Shahr, about seven kilometers from the main city of Abbottabad, where tourists from all over the country come to visit this mosque.
This mosque was built between 1927 and 1932 on top of a stream coming out of the mountain. It is the oldest and largest mosque in Abbottabad city. There is a capacity of about 10,000 worshippers.
There is a spring on the lower floor of the Ilyasi Mosque, the special feature of which is that it is always full of water. While it dries up during a couple of summer months. A fountain and two ponds have also been constructed nearby inside the mosque.
