Khabikki Lake

Khabikki Lake is located in Khushab District, Punjab, Pakistan. The lake covers an area of 283 acres and was recognized as Pakistan’s first Ramsar site. It is one of the three lakes, alongside Uchhali and Jahlar Lakes, that form the Uchhali Wetlands Complex, which is protected under the Ramsar Convention.

Khabiki Lake is located 62 km south of Kallar Kahar on Khushab Road and Nowshera Jabba Road. Like all other lakes in the region, it is a natural saltwater lake, but now it is a slightly freshwater lake.

It is two kilometers wide and one kilometer long, and the second-largest lake in the Soan Valley is located near the village of Khabeki.

The lake is a great habitat for migratory birds coming from Siberia. In the background of the lake, the beautiful Salt Range presents a heart-touching view. On one side of the lake, there is a beautiful rest house of the Tourism Development Corporation of Punjab. Where all the necessities are available, including cycling facilities. A beautiful watchtower has also been built in front of the rest house, from where tourists can capture the breathtaking view of the lake and the guests visiting it, as well as save it on camera.

The shores of the lake and the path leading to it have been paved, and a beautiful cycling track has been built on one side. A row of lights and benches has also been installed, making this place a much better recreational spot.
