Kharkhari Lake
Kharkhari Lake, also known as Kharkhari Danda in Pashto, is an alpine glacial lake located in the Gabral Valley to the north of Kalam Valley in the Swat District of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The lake is situated at an elevation of 9,488.2 ft (2,892.0 m).
The lake is connected by road to the town of Kalam, following the Utror River to Bahandra. From Bahandra, one must hike to the lake which takes up to 2 hours. The lake is about 0.40 km (0.25 mi) long and 0.25 km (0.16 mi) wide. The Gabral River traverses the lake.
The lake is located 43 km from the beautiful valley of Kalam in the Swat district, 143 km from Mingora City and 26 km from Utror.
