Shingrai Waterfall
Shingrai Waterfall is located in the suburb of Mingora, the capital of Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan.
It is located in the mountains of Mangalore. The locals call this waterfall ‘Dhand‘ or ‘Charh‘ which are Pashto words. In Pashto, the word ‘Dhand‘ means lake and ‘Charh‘ means waterfall. The water of this waterfall falls from Sar Sardary (a mountain top) in the upper mountainous region. The waterfall is about 35 feet high and about 70 feet in diameter.
There is also a beautiful village Shangrai in the Mangalore mountains. And it is located at a distance of about 18 to 20 kilometers from Mingora City.
The highway to Shangrai Waterfall starts from Mangalore Bypass at Sangota. This highway is paved up to Shangrai village and can be traveled easily. However, the road leading from the village to the Shangrai Waterfall is very rough.
