Silk Road Martyrs Memorial

MEMORIAL 103 EB (Engineering Battalion) is the Silk Road Martyrs Memorial located in Gilgit District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan.

A yellow drill machine will be seen on a high platform on the Karakoram Highway. It is a memorial to the brave people of Gilgit-Baltistan who laid down their lives in the construction of this road so that future generations of Gilgit-Baltistan can prosper and see happy days and thanks to this highway. The words written on this memorial monument are;

MEMORIAL 103 EB (Engineering Battalion)

In memory of their gallant men who proffered to make the Karakorams their permanent abode.

In that rich soil a richer dust conceals.
