Surjangal
Surjangal is an archaeological site located in Loralai District, Balochistan, Pakistan. The site is situated on a hilltop overlooking the valley of the Mula River. It is believed to have been inhabited from the 3rd millennium BCE until the medieval period.
Excavations at Sur Jangal have revealed the remains of a fortified town, surrounded by a massive stone wall and entered through a monumental gateway. Several buildings have been uncovered within the town, including residential quarters, administrative buildings, and a large central citadel.
The archaeological finds at Surjangal suggest that the site was an important center of trade and commerce during the Bronze Age and the early Iron Age. The artifacts discovered at the site include pottery, bronze objects, jewelry, and other items of daily use.
