Taxali Gate

Taxali Gate is one of the gates of the Walled City of Lahore located in Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan. The gate got its name from the mint (Taxal) here for minting coins. However, today both the mint and the gate have collapsed. But still, this place is a favorite place for food lovers. There are some famous Halwa puri and Phaje Pie shops. Most of the people come here to go to the Sheikho Padian market, which is a famous market for Khasa and Peshawari slippers. Similarly, Paniwala Pond and Gurdwara Lal Khoh are also located near the same entrance.
