Upper Kachura Lake
Upper Kachura Lake is located in the Skardu District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The lake’s depth is about 70 meters. The daytime temperature in summer ranges from 10 to 15 degrees Celsius, while in winter the temperature falls well below the freezing point. Due to this, the water of the lake freezes completely.
It stands out with its clear, turquoise waters, surrounded by dark green forests and rugged mountains. In the waning light of evening, this serene body of water mirrors the shifting colors of the sky, inviting travelers to pause and soak in the breathtaking stillness. It’s a place where time slows down, and the mind finds solace in the gentle sounds of nature.
