KPCTA Participated at the IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies
The IEEE International Conference on Emerging Technologies was a prestigious event. It was organized by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE). The conference took place on November 6th and 7th, 2023. The venue was FAST University Peshawar, Pakistan. The conference brought together distinguished scientists from around the world. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) was invited to the conference. They were asked to speak on digital tourism investments in emerging technologies. Mr. Omair Khattak, General Manager of Investments, and Mr. Abdul Basir, Manager of Digital Transformation, represented KPCTA. Mr. Khattak was invited as a keynote speaker and guest of honor by FAST management. He highlighted the technological interventions undertaken by KPCTA in various domains. Khattak also invited researchers worldwide to explore KP’s digital landscape. He also suggested a collaboration on promoting digital tourism in the province. Researchers and experts from around the world appreciated KPCTA’s steps. They presented a shield on behalf of ICET 2023.
The conference also incorporated a city tour of Peshawar. This tour was facilitated by KPCTA. It provided participants with an opportunity to immerse themselves in the city’s vibrant history and culture. The tour highlighted the lesser-known treasures of Peshawar. These included the Gor Khatri Archaeological Sites and the iconic Sethi House. The day ended with a delightful dinner featuring the flavors of the local cuisine.
