Record-Breaking Tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa During Eid-ul-Fitr
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a region renowned for its breathtaking tourist spots, has once again proven to be the top choice for travelers during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays. This year, the region saw an unprecedented influx of tourists, with numbers exceeding last year’s count by a significant margin.
Unprecedented Tourist Influx
From April 10 to 14, a staggering 583,000 tourists flocked to the various tourist spots of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, marking a significant increase from the 125,000 visitors recorded during the same period last year. This data was released by the Department of Tourism Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Kite Project, highlighting the growing popularity of the region as a prime tourist destination.
Active Authorities and Tourism Police
Under the guidance of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur and Advisor Tourism Zahid Chanzeb, all authorities and the tourism police were on high alert during the Eid holidays, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Popular Tourist Destinations
Among the various attractions, Galiyat proved to be the most popular, drawing in more than 237,000 tourists. Malam Jabba followed closely, with 151,900 tourists enjoying its scenic beauty. Kumrat Valley also saw a considerable number of visitors, with 92,000 tourists choosing it as their holiday destination.
Naran Kaghan and Chitral Valley were not far behind, with 77,000 and 24,000 tourists respectively, coming to these locations for their Eid holidays.
Round-the-Clock Assistance
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Helpline 1422 remained active throughout the Eid holidays, providing assistance to tourists whenever needed. The authorities under the management of the tourism department, along with the Tourism Police of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tourism Authority, worked tirelessly at various tourist spots to ensure all visitors had a memorable experience.
