Punjab Launches Major Eco-Tourism and Adventure Projects Under CM Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s Magnificent Punjab Vision
The Punjab government has taken an important step towards promoting sustainable tourism across the province under CM Maryam Nawaz’s Magnificent Punjab vision. During a recent meeting of the Departmental Development Sub-Committee, several key tourism development projects received approval.
A Strong Commitment to Eco-Friendly Tourism
One of the most notable initiatives is the construction of a modern, eco-friendly tourist resort in Bhurban, Murree. The new destination will feature camping pods, a restaurant, and beautifully designed tree houses. These facilities will allow travelers to experience nature in comfort while promoting environmentally responsible tourism practices.
Adventure and Scenic Experiences in Kotli Sattian and Murree
In order to enhance adventure tourism, the government has approved the establishment of a paragliding club at the scenic Kotli Sattian Hilltop. The project also includes modern visitor facilities such as a well-designed gazebo to support recreational activities in the region.
Additionally, a new adventure track will be developed at Kashmir Point in Murree. This attraction will offer world-class amenities to visitors, enhancing Murree’s appeal as a year-round tourism hotspot.
Cultural Promotion in Lahore
To celebrate Punjab’s rich heritage, the government has approved the Harbanspura Culture Resort project in Lahore. This initiative will feature Dino Valley, scenic walkways, and a tourist information center to provide travelers with a deeper connection to the city’s cultural landmarks and recreational options.
Punjab Tourism Force to Enhance Visitor Experience
A new “Punjab Tourism Force” will be established to ensure tourist safety, improved management, and guided support at key attractions across the province. The specialized force will play a vital role in maintaining tourism standards and protecting environmental and heritage sites.
