Broghil Valley

Broghil Valley

Broghil Valley is located in Upper Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Brughal Valley is famous for its beautiful scenery, snow-capped peaks, the magnificent Karambar Lake and three main passes with more than twenty-five small lakes. These passes connect the valley to the Wakhan Corridor through the Kankhan Pass in the west.

This remote high-altitude valley is renowned for its sweeping grasslands, scattered small lakes, and herds of yaks grazing against the dramatic backdrop of the Hindu Kush mountains. Life here is simple and pastoral, with Wakhi-speaking communities living in stone houses, cultivating buckwheat, wheat, and tending livestock to survive the harsh winters that bring up to six feet of snow.

Broghil’s unique isolation preserves its enchanting raw beauty, making it an exceptional destination for off-the-beaten-path explorers seeking authentic mountain life.
