Chakwal

Chakwal is a city located in Chakwal District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is an important district of Pothohar where there are many rivers and canals. Dams have been built at different places on these rivers and canals. And with these dams, lakes have also come into existence.

Chakwal is also known as the “Lake District of Punjab”. It is home to many small and large lakes and ponds, including Kallar Kahar, Dharabi, Lakhwal Dam Lake, Dhok Talian, Tharpal Dam Lake, Rama Lake of Katas Mandir, Neela Wahn, Khandua Lake, Simbal, Sikki Lake, Stone Nest Lake, Kot Raja Lake, Khai Dam Lake, and Matan Lake.
