Karak Temple
Karak Temple is a Hindu pilgrimage site located in Karak District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is also known as Teri Temple and the Samadhi Mandir of Shri Param Hans Ji Maharaj. As the only Hindu Samadhi in the region, it attracts a significant number of Hindu devotees from Pakistan and around the world, particularly from India, the United States, Canada, Singapore, and the UK.
This sacred shrine honors the spiritual legacy of Shri Param Hans Swami Advaitanand Ji Maharaj, a prominent 19th-century saint who spread the message of Bhakti, Sahaj Yoga, and humanitarian service. Pilgrims visit the site to offer flowers, perform rituals, and find spiritual solace in the peaceful surroundings.
Teri Temple has become a symbol of religious tolerance and cultural resilience. Despite facing destruction in 1997 and again in 2020, the temple was reconstructed and continues to thrive as a center of Hindu worship. Recent efforts by the Hindu community to construct a six-story guesthouse with 90 rooms and space for 70 vehicles signal the growth of religious tourism in Karak. The site holds similar significance for followers of Shri Param Hans Ji as Kartarpur holds for Sikhs, making Teri a vital spiritual landmark with immense potential for both domestic and international religious tourism.
