Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority Wins Gold Award at PASHA Awards 2025
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has achieved a historic milestone by winning the Gold Award at the PASHA Awards 2025 in the Public Sector Category for Digital Government and Citizen Services. This recognition not only brings pride to the province but also positions Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as a national leader in digital tourism innovation.
A Historic Honour for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Out of 1,633 organizations that presented digital applications and platforms at the PASHA 2025 competition. KPCTA’s achievement stood out as a groundbreaking example of public service transformation. NADRA’s e-Sahulat and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa IT Board’s Dastak App were declared runners-up, further underlining the province’s role in driving digital progress across Pakistan.
Digital Tourism Platform Under the KITE Project
Speaking on the occasion, Secretary Tourism Dr. Abdul Samad highlighted that the award-winning digital tourism platform was developed under the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Integrated Tourism Development (KITE) project.
The platform, built to international standards, consists of 34 innovative modules designed to transform tourism services. Dr. Samad noted that this recognition is more than just an award—it confirms the province’s vision of reintroducing tourism through technology, creating new opportunities, and gaining global trust.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s tourism strategy focuses on both national recognition and setting global standards. The province aims to position itself as a world-class tourism hub by blending culture, heritage, and advanced technology.
Dr. Abdul Samad emphasized that this success reflects the dedication, creativity, and tireless efforts of the Culture and Tourism Authority team.
