World Tourism Day 2025: Bike Rally from Peshawar to Shangla
On World Tourism Day 2025, a bike rally from Peshawar to Shangla is set to take off under the auspices of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) and the Peshawar Bikers Club. About 100 bikers from different cities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa joined the journey. The group will camp in Shangla and host a variety of activities to mark the occasion.
Promoting Adventure and Tourism in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Before leaving Peshawar, the bikers visited the historic Peshawar Museum, a popular tourist attraction. Director of Events, Muhammad Ali Syed, highlighted that the rally’s purpose is to encourage youth and promote tourism across the province. He explained that outdoor activities like these inspire young people to explore the beauty of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Exciting Activities Planned in Shangla
The bikers will camp at scenic spots in Shangla and organize events such as tug-of-war, hiking, bonfires, races, and traditional games. These healthy activities will not only entertain participants but also highlight the adventure tourism potential of the region.

In addition to the rally, several cultural and historical tours are planned for World Tourism Day 2025. Families can join guided visits to heritage landmarks, including Sethi House, Mahabat Khan Mosque, and Qissa Khwani Bazaar on September 28. These activities aim to showcase the rich history and vibrant culture of Peshawar.
