Drosh Fort
Drosh Fort is located in Lower Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The fort dates back to the 15th century and is believed to have been built by the Katoor Dynasty.
The fort is situated on a hilltop overlooking the town of Drosh and the surrounding area. It was strategically located on a major trade route between Central Asia and the Indian subcontinent and played an important role in controlling the trade routes.
The fort has a unique architectural style, with thick walls and numerous towers and bastions. The entrance to the fort is through a narrow gate, which leads to a courtyard surrounded by rooms and chambers.
Over the centuries, the fort has been attacked and conquered by various rulers, including the Mughals, the Durranis, and the British. Today, the fort is in a state of disrepair and requires restoration and preservation efforts to ensure its survival as a historical landmark.
