Airport Road, Gilgit

Airport Road is the main artery of Gilgit city, comparable to Karachi’s Shahrah-e-Faisal. Stretching alongside the Gilgit River, the road is lined with hotels, bakeries, clothing stores, electronics shops, and dry fruit vendors.

It connects key neighborhoods, such as Sonikot, Kashrote, and Majini, while serving as a vital lifeline for commerce and connectivity in the city. The road begins near the small runway of Gilgit Airport and passes through historical areas like Jutial and Khomer.
