Bunji

Bunji is a town in the Astore District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is a picturesque and strategic town on the banks of the Indus River, known as the headquarters of the Northern Light Infantry (NLI). Surrounded by rugged mountains and fruit orchards, Bunji serves as a gateway to the Astore Valley.

A small stream runs through the town, adding to its scenic charm. It’s also historically significant as the hometown of Shaheed Lalak Jan, a national hero awarded the Nishan-e-Haider.
