Chand Tara Sculpture
The Chand Tara Sculpture, also known as the Crescent and Star Monument. It is a prominent landmark situated in Shakarparian, Islamabad. Designed by artist Abdul Jabbar Gull. Located near the Rose and Jasmine Garden and directly in front of the Pak-China Friendship Centre.
It is a striking 45-foot stainless steel monument symbolizing Pakistan’s national identity through its crescent and star design. Installed during the 1970s under Prime Minister Zulfikar Ali Bhutto to commemorate the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation summit.
