Chinese Cemetery

Chinese Cemetery is located in Gilgit District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It is locally known as the “China Monument”. This cemetery is the final resting place of the Chinese engineers and labourers who poured their blood into the construction of the Karakoram Highway in the 1960s and 70s. It is a manifestation of China’s sacrifices for Pakistan which is right above the Karakoram Road.
