Chinji National Park

Chinji National Park is located in Talagang District, Punjab, Pakistan. Built in 1986. The park is located in the Pothohar area, and spread over 6,095 hectares. It is 130 km south of Islamabad, this park is located near the “Salt Mountain”.

Chinji National Park has a dry climate and a rare breed of Urial. It is one of the parks under the control of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN).

The Soan River irrigates the area, which consists of sandstone, volcanic soil and salt rocks.
