Chitral Museum

Chitral Museum is located in Lower Chitral District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Established in 2010 to preserve the culture of Chitral. Becuase Chitral is not only a beautiful and historic city but also a land of unique culture and customs.

Here are two galleries here, one for archaeology and Kalash and the other for Chitral civilization. In the first gallery, Kailash culture is on display. These include clothing, utensils and other everyday items. Also included in the gallery are pottery, ornaments and weapons found in the Gandhara excavations.

The second gallery shows the culture of Chitral. This includes the area’s jewellery, weapons, utensils, hunting tools, musical instruments, furniture and other items. A variety of pottery and wooden utensils are also on display.
