Earthquake Memorial Bridge
Earthquake Memorial Bridge, aka Naluchi Bridge or Chattar Bridge, is located in Muzaffarabad District, Kashmir, Pakistan. The bridge connects Naluchi and Chattar on the banks of the River Jhelum. It was constructed as a symbol of resilience and remembrance, particularly commemorating the victims of the 2005 earthquake.
Rises about 60 meters (197 feet) above the river, making it one of the highest bridges in Pakistan. Construction initiated in May 2009 and completed in August 2014.
It was financed by the Japan Bank for International Cooperation (JBIC) and designed by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), symbolizing international solidarity in the aftermath of the earthquake.
