Gojal Valley is located in Hunza District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. The valley is a border region of Pakistan with China and Afghanistan. Gojal’s border with China meets at Khunjerab, which is covered with snow year-round due to its height of about 15,397 feet above sea level.
To the northwest lies the Gujal region of Chapursan, which borders directly with the Wakhan region of Afghanistan. The Wakhan region is about 6 miles wide, after which the Tajik border begins. The Karakoram Highway connecting Pakistan to China also enters China at Khunjrab through Gujal Valley.
