Hussaini Suspension Bridge

Hussaini Suspension Bridge

Hussaini Suspension Bridge is located in Hunza District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located in the vast Hunza River and internationally renowned and one of the world’s most dangerous suspension bridges.

This one-kilometer-long pedestrian bridge connects the village of Hussaini to the other bank. Suspended by iron ropes, the bridge consists of nothing but wooden planks spaced about a meter apart.

Those crossing the bridge simply have to carefully take long steps, keeping their feet on these planks, and any slight mistake could send them deep down into the icy waters of the Hunza River, where a person could freeze to death before drowning.
