Jalozai Barani Dam

Jalozai Barani Dam or Jalozai Dam is located in Nowshera District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is initiated to enhance irrigation, support agriculture, and promote ecotourism. The dam plays a vital role in the region’s development.

The dam is situated in Jalozai, Nowshera District, approximately 35 kilometers southeast of Peshawar. It is designed to irrigate approximately 800 acres of agricultural land, providing a reliable water source for farming communities.

Its dimensions are approximately 958 feet long and 74 feet high. Its capacity is designed to hold and store approximately 1,277 acre feet of water. Its purpose is to provide perennial irrigation to approximately 900 acres of previously barren but fertile land. Its operational life is expected to be approximately 63 years.​
