Kanishka stupa
Kanishka stupa is located in Peshawar District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It was built during the reign of the Kushan Empire, which ruled over parts of present-day Pakistan, Afghanistan, and India from the 1st to the 3rd century CE.
The stupa was commissioned by the Kushan king Kanishka and is believed to have been one of the largest stupas in the world at the time of its construction. The stupa was a major pilgrimage site for Buddhists for many centuries, and today, much of it has been destroyed.
