Karakoram

The Karakoram is a mountain range located in the Hunza, Shigar and Ghanche Districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located in the extreme north of Pakistan. This mountain range is present in the north of Pakistan till inside China. This range is about 200 km wide. The average height of this mountain range is 100.6 meters.

Highest Peaks:

There are many highest peaks in the world in the Karakoram Mountains. 20 of the world’s highest peaks above 8000 meters are located in this range. K-2 is the highest peak with an elevation of 8,611 meters above sea level. Other high peaks include Rakaposhi, Gasherbrum 1 and Gasherbrum 2. These peaks are present in Pakistan.
