Keenjhar Lake

Keenjhar Lake is located in Thatta District, Sindh, Pakistan. It is commonly called Kalri Lake. Just 20 km from Thatta and 120 km from Karachi. It is the second-largest freshwater lake after Manchar Lake in Pakistan.

This lake is an important source of water supply in the Thatta and Karachi districts. The lake is home to numerous birds and has been declared a bird sanctuary. Migratory birds from Siberia also come to spend the winter here.

It is a favorite picnic destination for visitors from Karachi and Hyderabad. The lake is dotted with small islands and offers boat rides, swimming, and birdwatching. It plays a vital role in supplying drinking water to Karachi via the Kalri Canal.
