Lahore High Court Museum
Lahore High Court Museum is located in Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan. The museum preserves the rich history, cultural heritage, and evolutionary phases of one of the most prestigious and oldest Courts of Judicature in Asia. It was established with the idea to introduce these monuments to visitors and let them gauge the legacy, glory, and legal history the Lahore High Court has had over the years.
The foundation stone of the museum was laid on the eve of the Sesquicentennial Celebrations of the court on November 26, 2016. The museum was established by Hon’ble Mr. Justice Syed Mansoor Ali Shah and is managed by Monitoring/Administrative Judge: Mr. Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan. The Hon’ble committee comprises of Hon’ble Mr. Justice Jawad Hassan, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Anwaarul Haq Pannun, and Hon’ble Mr. Justice Rasaal Hasan Syed.
The museum houses a valuable collection of relics and artifacts gathered from and/or donated by the respectable families of Hon’ble Judges of this Court as well as the District Judiciary. These artifacts reflect different eras and have been stored, conserved, and displayed aesthetically for exhibition. The collections include general artifacts, old records/cases/files, framed photographs of the Hon’ble Judges, postage & stamps, justice rods, antique furniture items, historical shields & boxes, and paintings.
The museum is open from 10 AM to 4 PM and entry is free. It is located at Shahrah-e-Quaid-e-Azam, Mozang Chungi, Lahore, Punjab 54000, Pakistan. The museum also offers a virtual tour and detailed information about the museum timings, visits, etc. on its website.
