Lwari Mosque Kozkalay
Lwari Mosque Kozkalay is located in Swat District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The Lwarrey Jumat (mosque) is in Khwazakhela town. It is over 1,000 years old and known for its magnificent architecture and stunning wood carvings.
It was built by the army of Mahmood Ghaznavi after defeating a Hindu army in the 11th century. The mosque is unique with its carvings, decorations, and geometrical patterns. The wooden beams and pillars are decorated with flower designs and motifs and a mixture of Persian, Greek, and Buddhist themes.
