Nagar Valley

Nagar Valley

Nagar Valley is located in Nagar District, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It lies opposite Hunza Valley, separated by the Hunza River, and is famous for its rugged terrain, green terraces, and panoramic views. The valley begins just beyond the village of Chalt. It stretches along the Karakoram Highway up to Passu in Hunza and offers stunning views of Rakaposhi and surrounding peaks.

It serves as the home of Rakaposhi and offers travelers a more serene, less commercialized experience compared to its neighbor.

The bridge connecting Nagar and Hunza spans the Hunza River and marks the transition between two culturally rich and naturally stunning valleys. It is both a practical crossing and a picturesque location where travelers often pause to take in the surroundings.

Rich in natural beauty and cultural heritage, Nagar is often overshadowed by Hunza but remains a hidden gem for those willing to explore its scenic landscapes and welcoming villages.
