Saltoro Valley

Saltoro Valley is located in the Ghanche District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. Near the confluence of the Shyok and the route toward Machulo lies a bridge leading to the expansive stone-laden field of Saltoro Valley, cradled by a fortress of mountain ranges.

This valley serves as the starting route for climbers aiming for the iconic Masherbrum Peak. The field, scattered with rounded stones and backed by towering ridges, feels untouched and ancient, a natural amphitheater waiting to echo the whispers of the wind.
