Shaikh Imam Ud Din Mosque
Shaikh Imam Ud Din Mosque is located in Peshawar District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. The mosque is 400-year-old situated in Palosai village. It is a beautiful example of Mughal architecture, with walls decorated with paintings.
It was built by disciples Sheikh Abdul Razzaq and Sheikh Abdul Haq, starting in 1652 and finishing in 1658. The main entrance is on the south and leads to the basement. The amazing Shaikh Imam Ud Din tomb is on a porch surrounded by big arches on all sides. The mosque has three domes and three doors with tall arches. The inside of the mosque and the central entrance are beautifully painted, showing that the mosque was built at the same time as the tomb. This Mughal-era structure is a precious part of our national heritage.
