Shairanwala Gate

Shairanwala Gate is one of the gates of the Walled City of Lahore located in Lahore District, Punjab, Pakistan. It was earlier named Khizri Gate. The reason for this was the well-known sage Hazrat Khawaja Khizr Ilyas. Who was also known as Amir al-Bahr. However, during the reign of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, its name was changed and this Shiranwala gate became famous.

Inside this door, one can see the traditional old Lahori way of life. The current condition of this gate is very dilapidated and its plaster and paint have completely disappeared.
