Sheikhupura Fort
Sheikhupura Fort is a historic fort located in Sheikhupura , Punjab, Pakistan. It is also known as Qila Sheikhupura. The fort is believed to have been constructed during the Mughal era in the early 17th century by Emperor Jahangir. Although some historians suggest that it may date back even further to the reign of Emperor Akbar.
The fort is built on a large platform and features a number of impressive architectural elements, including a series of intricate archways, balconies, and chambers. The fort’s walls are decorated with a variety of decorative motifs, including floral designs and geometric patterns.
Over the centuries, the fort has been occupied by a number of different rulers and empires, including the Sikhs and the British.
