Skardu

Skardu

Skardu is the capital of Skardu District, Gilgit Baltistan, Pakistan. Once a quiet, remote settlement, Skardu was traditionally frequented only by foreign mountaineers.

It serves as the launching point for expeditions to iconic destinations like K2, Concordia, Khaplu, Shigar, and Kharmang.

Despite its isolation in earlier decades, it has now developed into a significant tourist base, offering access to some of the most enchanting and distant valleys in northern Pakistan.
