Sleeping Beauty

Sleeping Beauty or Sleeping Lady Mountain is located in Quetta District, Balochistan, Pakistan. One of Quetta’s most whimsical natural wonders is the silhouette of the “Sleeping Beauty” mountain. As the early morning light hits the mountain ridges east of the city, the contours mysteriously form the figure of a reclining woman—her head, flowing hair, and body seemingly carved into the stone. Popularized by humorist Mushtaq Ahmed Yousufi, this natural illusion captures the imagination of locals and travelers alike, offering a poetic touch to the otherwise rugged landscape.
