Supreme Court of Pakistan Building

The Supreme Court of Pakistan building is located at Constitution Avenue in the capital city of Islamabad, Pakistan. It is the highest judicial authority in the country with the Prime Minister’s Secretariat to the south and President’s House and Parliament Building to the north.

The complex consists of the Main Central Block, Judges’ Chambers Block, and Administrative Blocks. The Main Central Block, which houses the courtrooms, is 167 feet tall. It is surrounded by the Judges’ Chambers Block to the east and the Administrative Block to the north and south. There are 11 courtrooms in total, with Courtroom No. 1 being the largest and having a capacity for a bench of 20 judges and seating for 160 people.

The Judges’ Chambers Block contains the chambers and offices of the Chief Justice, 20 judges, and the Registrar, as well as a library with a collection of 72,000 books, reports, and journals. The Administrative Blocks house the offices of administrative officers and staff of the Court, as well as various legal bodies such as the Attorney General for Pakistan, the Advocates-General of the Provinces, the Pakistan Bar Council, the Supreme Court Bar Association, and the Law & Justice Commission of Pakistan.
