Swaik Lake (Khandowa Lake)
Swaik Lake (Khandowa Lake) is located in Chakwal District, Punjab, Pakistan. Along with the lake, there is also a natural waterfall, which is the source of fresh water for the lake. This lake of Chakwal is as beautiful as it is deep and dangerous. Snakes and crabs have also been seen on its banks.
How to get here
To reach Khandua /Swak Lake, take the Choa Saidan Shah Road from the Kallar Kahar Interchange. This road connects to Khandowa Road, which continues until it ends at a point where you can park your vehicle. From there, a jeep track begins, and after a short ride, the jeep drops you off near the walking trail. The rest of the route is an easy walk, and within a few minutes, you’ll arrive at the beautiful freshwater green lake nestled in the mountains, locally called Khandua and nationally known as Swaik Lake.
A large number of families and young people visit here for picnics. Life jackets are also available for rent for bathing in the lake.
