Thal Desert

Thal Desert is located in Jhang District, Punjab, Pakistan. It is located between the Indus River and the Jhelum River.

The area between the Indus River and the Jhelum River is called the Indus Sagar Doab. A Doab is an area situated between two rivers. All the areas in the Indus Sagar Doab are called the Thal Desert. Rainfall in this area is very low. Hence there is a lack of vegetation and mud and sand dunes are found here.
