YWCA Building
The Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) building is a simple yet elegant structure located on M. A. Jinnah Road in Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan. It is surrounded by old trees and a well-maintained lawn. The main building is to the left of the entrance and has a tennis court in front of it. The facade has neatly patterned woodwork, giving it a timeless feel.
A plaque on the right side of the wall facing the lawn reads “This Stone Was Laid by Her Excellency Lady Lloyd Jan 7, 1920.” Lady Lloyd officially opened the Jehangir Kothari Parade two days prior and inaugurated the Lady Lloyd Pier a little more than a year later. This historical building is a must-visit for tourists interested in architecture and history. Its serene atmosphere provides a peaceful escape from the bustling city.
