The announcement was made by Zahid Chanzeb, Advisor to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism and Culture, during his visit to the vibrant Chilam Joshi Festival held in Bumburet Valley.

Zahid Chanzeb stated that the funds have been allocated to the Communication and Works (C&W) Department, and construction work on the road will begin shortly. The improved road infrastructure is expected to significantly enhance accessibility for both domestic and international tourists, allowing them to explore the stunning landscapes and unique culture of the entire Kalash Valley.

The Chilam Joshi Festival, celebrated annually by the indigenous Kalash people, attracted a large number of visitors this year. Chanzeb welcomed the growing interest in the region, emphasizing the importance of preserving and promoting its cultural heritage.

The event was organized through the joint efforts of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority, Kalash Development Authority, and the district administration.
