KP Tourism Authority Signs Three-Year MoU with ETEA for Transparent Recruitment

Peshawar, August 2025 – The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Culture and Tourism Authority (KPCTA) has taken a significant step toward ensuring transparency in future hiring processes by signing a three-year memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Educational Testing and Evaluation Agency (ETEA).

The agreement was formally signed by Director General KPCTA, Habibullah Arif, and Executive Director ETEA, Adil Saeed Safi. Under this MoU, all future recruitment within the KP Tourism Authority will be conducted through ETEA, ensuring merit-based selection and fair opportunities.

Speaking on the occasion, DG KPCTA Habibullah Arif highlighted that the purpose of this partnership is to make the recruitment process more transparent and reliable. He emphasized that through this collaboration, the Authority aims to adopt standardized procedures that will strengthen the institution and promote confidence among aspiring candidates.

This agreement marks an important milestone for the tourism sector in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which is rapidly growing as a hub for domestic and international travelers. By ensuring transparency in hiring, KPCTA aims to strengthen its capacity to develop, manage, and promote tourism across the province, including popular destinations in Swat, Chitral, Kaghan, Naran, Kumrat, and the historic cultural sites of Peshawar.

The collaboration with ETEA reflects the provincial government’s broader commitment to good governance, accountability, and institutional development, ensuring that the tourism industry continues to flourish as a vital contributor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s economy.
