Warsak Dam Visit Highlights Irrigation Development Efforts
The Warsak Dam visit by Provincial Minister for Irrigation Riaz Khan marked his first major inspection after assuming charge of the ministry. The visit focused on reviewing the ongoing irrigation and development projects in the region.
Review of Development Projects
During the inspection, Secretary Irrigation Muhammad Ayaz, the Chief Engineer, and other officials briefed the minister on the progress of current projects. They discussed updates on construction timelines, costs, and operational challenges. Moreover, the minister emphasized that the welfare and development of the people remain the top priority in all departmental initiatives.
Commitment to Quality and Accountability
Riaz Khan assured that no compromise will be made on the quality of work. He stated that strict legal action will be taken against officers showing negligence. In addition, he announced plans to personally visit various districts to inspect and monitor development projects.
Inspection of Tunnel and Pump House
As part of the Warsak Dam visit, the provincial minister inspected a 5-kilometer-long tunnel and the under-construction pump house. Officials briefed him on the project’s utility, progress, and challenges. The minister reaffirmed his commitment to establishing a modern and effective irrigation system across the province.
