Virjerab Glacier
The Virjerab Glacier is located in the Shimshal Valley, Hunza District of Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. It is located in the Karakoram Range, and represents one of the lesser-explored glacial landscapes in a region often dubbed the “Third Pole” due to its dense concentration of glaciers.
The Virjerab Glacier watershed also includes Virjerab Sar, the highest peak in the region. Its steep topography and dynamic glacial activity contribute to the area’s breathtaking vistas and technical climbing routes, drawing the attention of adventurers.
